The Role
At Last Mile Health (LMH), we dig evidence and data. Do you have experience analyzing routine health systems and survey data for public health? If so, you may be our next Data Analyst for Liberia.
LMH partners with governments to design and refine community health policies and systems, upskill the community health workforce, and demonstrate effective community-based primary care to sustain responsive and resilient community health systems and improve health equity and outcomes in rural and remote communities.
LMH has partnered with the Ministry of Health in Liberia for more than 15 years and, this year, celebrates with them the 10th Anniversary of the National Community Health Program. LMH has helped MOH build out the policies, directly managed CHW programs in three counties, and developed important innovations in technical approaches, service delivery, training, and reporting. The robust implementation of this national CHW program has benefited from a long history of MERL, including research partnerships with international universities, population-based surveys, project-level M&E, national monitoring systems, and routine data collection and analysis of community-based information (CBIS).
The Data Analyst will work with the Liberia team to develop and implement data analysis and visualization protocols, and MERL plans to measure and understand progress against health systems strengthening, community health workforce upskilling, and community-based primary care service delivery within the Liberia program. The Data Analyst will collaborate with the Liberia MERL and program teams in providing high-level data analysis and visualization skills to the Liberia team, helping to share findings with country team programs and other identified stakeholders, including but not limited to executive leadership, LMH funders, and Ministries of Health.
This is a fixed-term role, based in Liberia and open to candidates who are Liberian nationals currently located in Liberia.
